STEP 1: Add four (4) pounds of Zebra Mussel Minimum Risk Pesticide™ for every 6,000 gallons of water, in water that is above 65 degree farenheit, with no wind or boat activity for 8 to 10 hours. Best to treat during late afternoon. After an hour check and record Chlorophyll a value if below 16 ug/L add two (2) Pounds of Zebra Mussel Minimum Risk Pesticide for every 6,000 gallons of water, repeat hourly monitoring and adding additional material until Chlorophyll a value is between 16 ug/L to 26 ug/L.
STEP 2: Monitor hourly until Chlorophyll ug/L readings are stable. If higher concentration is needed, add four (4) pounds of ZebraCide™ for every 6,000 gallons of water. Continue monitoring a minimum of every six (6) hours, adding additional Zebra Mussel Minimum Risk Pesticide™ at the rate of four (4) pounds per 6,000 gallons as needed to maintain Chlorophyll a concentration between 16 ug/L – 26 ug/L, as indicated by a fluorometer or seechi disk.
STEP 3: Success of Zebra Mussel Death is Determined by Tapping Open Zebra Mussels, if the Zebra Mussel Does Not Close Treatment Has Been Successful. Maintain 16 ug/L – 25 ug/L For at Least 3 days or 24 hours after Zebra Mussel
e.g. (6,000 gallons, is 8 ft. from shore, downward 45° to a depth of 4 ft. deep x 50 ft shoreline, 3.5 oz every 3-feet.)
